For apps with significant traffic and an active audience, major experiments without sufficient data-based proof points can be risky. Users may not understand the changes, quickly stop using the app, or decide against making a purchase.
In addition to collecting analytics in the AppMetrica interface, you can now also manage improvements in your app. With the new A/B experiment tool, you can test product and marketing hypotheses and implement changes right in AppMetrica thanks to Flag configuration.
Just run a test in order to:
A/B experiments in AppMetrica are based on Varioqub, which is a separate SDK integrated with the AppMetrica platform.
To change app content directly from AppMetrica, we offer Flag configuration feature, also known as Feature flag or Remote config. You can set any element of your app, be it a new banner, button color or position, interface section, or ad placements. We offer up to 2 000 various flag options.
Element updates can then be implemented immediately, with no need to produce a new release.
For example, you can add a banner to the app with a Black Friday special offer. With Flag configuration, you can add it in advance. Users will see the promotion when it’s supposed to appear without ever updating the app.
Flags can also be limited to specific user segments. For example, you might show a special offer for children’s goods to users who indicated in their profile that they are a parent.
AppMetrica lets you conduct product and marketing tests based on any app data the platform collects. Once you’ve selected one or more comparison criteria, set the flags and run the test for the entire audience or a specific segment.
For example, you might want to change the location of the payment button and test how that affects conversions. If your metrics grow, the change can be enabled immediately from the AppMetrica interface, and it will be visible to all your users or a selected segment.
You can start launching A/B experiments and Flag configuration for free. With the Free plan, two simultaneous A/B tests and two flags are available. Both functions are expanded in the Pro plan. They can also be connected separately for an additional fee: you can conduct up to 100 experiments and set up to 2000 flags simultaneously. Learn more about our terms and conditions.
